Bible - #OnlineSaints

God is present especially with people who are suffering or in pain. Jesus always sought out the small and marginalised to announce the message of God’s salvation first to them. Through his own suffering and death on the cross, he realised this salvation and at the same time came closer than ever to those who are suffering.

Looking back over her life, Bakhita saw that God can bring some good out of any form of suffering. She was sold as a slave when she was still a child. For many years, she greatly suffered under her ‘masters’. Eventually she discovered the only Master worth submitting to, Jesus.
