Whatever we undertake, we usually encounter all kinds of obstacles and even suffering. Jesus does not promise that our life with him will be easy, but he promises something even better: to be with us at every moment, also when things are difficult!

Willibrord was a missionary to a very stubborn people. In spite of all the difficulties he had to face, he continued his missionary work with perseverance, because he knew this was God’s Will for him. He also knew that Jesus was with him in particular when things were hard. The same is true for you!
